I hope this message finds you and your family feeling healthy and safe.

My name is Paul Suppa and I’ve lived in San Diego for nearly 30 years. Most of that time has been spent in district 2.

I’m a 1999 graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law and a California licensed attorney for the last 26 years, presently, i am a partner with Estelle & Kennedy, A Professional Law Corporation.

I am not a career politician or beholden to special interests. I am neither a Democract or a Replublican. Candidly, I believe both parties are failing us, so I am running as an independent.

Regarding spending, the core function of government is to spend taxpayer dollars wisely. this requires we focus on the following issues:

(S)treets, Safety (emergency response times, infrastructure e.g. pot holes)

(A)ffordability, Accountability, Access (housing, state and local density requirements)

(F)inancial Responsibility (confront wasteful spending, curb corporate influence)

(E)nvironment, Education (clean beaches, no homeless encampments)

Remember S.A.F.E. as the acronym for core government functions, and we should not raise fees for parking, trash or even property taxes. SAN DIEGO should not be running a structural deficit of $100 million on revenue of $2.1 billion.

If you believe city council should refocus on the core duties of government, combat wasteful spending, curb corporate influence and make San Diego a shining example of a properly run city, then vote for someone who will challenge the status quo.
